A few things you may be wondering.
It is natural to have questions before starting therapy. Here are some answers to help you take the next step at your own pace.
Can I access online CBT from Birmingham?
Online sessions can be discussed for adults in Birmingham, Solihull, the West Midlands and surrounding areas. Suitability and practical arrangements are agreed directly with Farhana. Please ask about current in-person availability; no Birmingham clinic location is confirmed.
What is CBT?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy explores how thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and behaviour connect. Together we identify patterns and try practical ways of responding differently.
Do I need a diagnosis before getting in touch?
No. You can get in touch if something feels difficult, even if you are unsure how to describe it. An initial conversation can help us consider the next step.
Is CBT right for me?
CBT is one approach to therapy. The initial assessment gives us time to understand what you would like help with and discuss whether this approach may suit your needs.
What happens first?
You can request a free 15-minute introductory call or enquire about an initial assessment. We will agree any appointment directly; sending an enquiry does not book a session.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your needs and goals. We will discuss a possible plan at assessment and review it together as therapy progresses.
Is therapy confidential?
Confidentiality and its limits are discussed before therapy begins. There may be circumstances where information needs to be shared, for example to protect someone from serious harm or meet a legal obligation.
Urgent support and safeguardingAre sessions online or in person?
Online therapy is available. Please ask about current in-person availability; the location and practical arrangements will be discussed directly.
Can I ask for adjustments?
Yes. Please get in touch to discuss communication, access or other adjustments that would help you use the website or take part in therapy.
Do you offer urgent support?
MindWell Therapy is not a crisis service and enquiries are not monitored for emergencies. If someone’s life is at risk, or you cannot keep yourself or someone else safe, call 999 or go to A&E.
Urgent support and safeguardingHow do I raise a concern?
Please contact Farhana using the published email or telephone number to discuss a concern or request information about the complaints process.
